Game Designer- Casual Games


About The Position

We are looking for a Systems Game Designer to join our team in CrazyLabs Casual Lab. Reporting to the Head of Game Studio, this person will be responsible for creating and optimizing in-game systems, social features, and live operations for a puzzle RPG currently in soft launch. They will work closely with the content design lead and level design team to develop and deliver a fun, compelling, and ambitious experience for our players. 

Our ideal candidate has experience creating complex systems design as well as running robust live operations in mobile games with RPG progression systems.


  • Lead our games through their full cycle, from concept, release, and through live operations 
  • Design & optimize mobile free to play game systems, economies, social features, events, IAP & ads monetization, and live operations
  • Design/improve UX & UI
  • Create clear & complete game design documentation for game features, systems, and related content
  • Communicate and prioritize game design to relevant stakeholders; facilitate the production process and be involved in critical review milestones
  • Lead game systems optimization and balancing based on iterative KPI results and a keen understanding of market trends 



  • Passion for making mobile games and creating fun, engaging user experiences 
  • At least 3 years of game design experience
  • Experience in developing mobile games
  • History of managing complex design projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys the challenge of game development and working together with multiple disciplinary teams to solve complex problems 
  • Immersed in the gaming world, know the market and current trends
  • Positive and self-driven, with the ability to be collaborative in a team environment
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, create, and implement game concepts using various tools and technologies
  • Broad understanding of free to play core-loop, meta-game, game-balance, economy, and monetization models
  • Excellent creative, analytical, and organizational skills with proven ability to write, communicate and maintain detailed design documentation 
  • Broad knowledge of games and a passion for translating proven, complex game systems for mass market, casual mobile audiences. 


  • Proficiency in data analysis & related tools; Microsoft Excel, SQL, etc. 
  • Proficiency in game development & content creation tools: Unity, Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Figma, etc.
